In general, excessive sun exposure is harmful to the skin. The ultraviolet damage leads to sun spots, deepen the lines and the most important of all increases the risk of skin cancer. After the rhinoplasty operation, it is recommended to stay completely out of the sun for the first two weeks. Excessive swelling and scarring are the main complications of early excessive sun exposure. After the two-week period, some tips for protection from the sun are adviced. Wearing a hat is an easy and good way of protecting the face from the sun. If you have outdoor work, then maybe some nose coats may be used. Sunblock spf 50 is always adviced for the protection. Those tips are proposed for 6 months postoperatively to give the nose time to heal without any serious side effects.
