Tip domes are the projected areas where the lower lateral alar cartilages intersect with the medial columellar cartilages. The angle of divergence is the angle between these two domes of the tip. Normally this angle should be maximum 30 degrees. If the interdomal space is wide and the angle is wider than 30 degrees, the tip looks boxy in shape. A nice looking tip in rhinoplasty should be an equilateral triangle in shape.
