Rhinoplasty needs maturity for both physical and emotional. If rhinoplasty is performed in a period when the growth continues, then it may disrupt the growth of the facial and the nasal bones ending up in a negatively altered nose appearance. So the average minimum age should be 16 for women and 17 for men. On the other side; there is no maximum age limit for rhinoplasty, the single handicap is the person's general health condition.
Emotional maturity is also extremely important. Generally, young people are influenced by their environments seriously. Their ideas about themselves change easily. And these young people should understand that if rhinoplasty is done, the appearance of their noses and the meaning of their faces will change. Emotional maturity needs time and it is not reached generally before the age of 18.
