Revision rhinoplasty – when?

Revision rhinoplasty – when?

The most appropriate time for the revision rhinoplasty starts from the post-operative period of minimum 6 months. If the patient has had 2 or more revision surgeries before, the new revision for rhinoplasty should be delayed to 1 year. There are some major problems like a still very crooked nose where the surgeons may prefer the revisions as early as  1-2 months. To correct the major deformities as soon as possible provides reciprocal satisfaction and confidence. Normally, it takes a minimum of 6 months for the swellings to go and takes a year for the scar tissue to heal. So, for minor problems like small asymmetries, swellings or a small bumps, it is generally advised to wait for 6-12 months for the revision rhinoplasty. Because as the time prolongs, they either diminish or remain.
