After graduating from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, she completed her specialty training in France. She combines more than thirty-five years of clinical experience in rhinoplasty, aesthetic nasal surgery and head and neck surgery with academic work, and currently sees patients at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital.

Born in Istanbul, she graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1986. After her mandatory service as a general practitioner, she completed her Ear, Nose and Throat residency at the Lyon University hospitals in France under Prof. Dr. J.P. Hagenauer, Prof. Dr. J.C. Pignat and Prof. Dr. C. Dubreuil, receiving the Diplôme Interuniversitaire de Spécialisation with her thesis “La Place des Laryngectomies Partielles dans le Cancer du Larynx” (The Place of Partial Laryngectomies in Laryngeal Cancer). She then completed the same research at Haseki State Hospital in Istanbul and received her ENT specialty diploma in Turkey as well.

Throughout her career she has worked and observed at Yale University (USA) and Essen University Hospital (Germany) and attended international courses in phonosurgery (Lyon) and rhinoplasty (Chicago). She was granted the title of Associate Professor in 2013 and has been a Professor in the ENT Department of Haliç University Faculty of Medicine since 2020. She speaks English and French, and intermediate German.

Since 2024 she has been seeing patients as an ENT specialist at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital.

Outside the Clinic

In her youth she was a national swimmer at the Istanbul Swimming Club. She has played tennis at the 4. Levent Tennis Club since 1980 and still competes as a veteran player; she also enjoys winter skiing and, since 2007, enduro motorcycling.
